Skin traumas such as burns, scars and skin grafts can often leave visible reminders that can negatively impact your self-confidence, the good news is that I can help you conceal and camouflage these marks using micropigmentation, I can also treat reconstructed breast skin and skin grafts with micropigmentation to ensure the skin blends more seamlessly with the surrounding natural skin. Stretch marks can also be treated in a similar way to improve the texture and look of silvery lines, numerous sessions may be required.​

Scar micropigmentation is a non-invasive technique that allows the camouflaging of marks and scars on the skin thanks to the application of coloured pigments, creating a colour that is almost exactly the same as the surrounding healthy skin where it is applied. Scars are always red to begin with and then they fade over a period of 18-24 months by which time they are mature and paler than the surrounding skin, this is the ideal time to use micropigmentation.

How it works

• A specialist technician uses a digital tattooing machine to distribute tiny dots of pigment throughout the scar tissue 

• The pigment is custom-matched to the surrounding skin 

• The result is a more even skin tone that conceals the scar

Aftercare

• You may experience some redness and slight discomfort after the procedure 

• You should avoid swimming, saunas, jacuzzi's, and gyms for a couple of weeks after treatment  

• You should wait until the area is completely healed before further treatments, 6 weeks approx.

Results

The results of scar camouflage micropigmentation will fade over time depending on environmental factors such as sun exposure. A colour boost/rework may be required every 2-3 years approx. To protect and prolong the life of any micropigmentation or tattooing you should protect your skin with a factor 25 or above sunscreen, UVA and UVB rays will fade the ink.

In addition to micropigmentation (camouflage) I offer a scar and stretch mark improvement service which involves lightly needling the area implanting a unique serum into the scar/stretch marks - active ingredients- EGF Growth Factors, FGF Growth Factors, Hyaluronic Acid, Peptides, Vitamin E. This special formula is intended for professional use to decrease stretch marks and to improve the texture of scars. Results will differ for everyone due to the clients personal factors such as age, age of stretch marks, size of stretch marks, location of stretch marks, past sun exposure and sun exposure during the healing process.
