Saline removal is a procedure that uses a saline solution to lift permanent makeup pigment or tattoo ink out of the skin. It can lighten or fully remove bad or unwanted pigmented areas. Sometimes lightening without full removal is enough to allow for a new covering tattoo or additional work over permanent make up such as eyebrows.

The Li-FT® Saline Removal Solution is a non-chemical, non-acid, high-salt-based, fruit seed extract saline tattoo removal solution that is so effective that it can lighten a tattoo or permanent makeup procedure to the point where it is no longer visible.

Does saline work as well as laser?
Yes and in some cases even better! While laser tattoo removal has come a long way and can be quite successful, it is not the best choice in many cases. Lasers are colour sensitive and use a pulse of energy that penetrates the skin that is absorbed by the pigment. The pigment absorbs the energy, heats up and then shatters into tiny fragments to be removed by the body’s waste and lymphatic system.
Saline however, lifts the pigment up and out of the body. Many people today are not comfortable with pigment being pushed down into the body and moving around the lymphatic system and choose saline removal for that reason.

Please note: The Emergency Li-FT Removal technique is performed without any needles it is a saturate and soak technique. No needles nor breaking into the skin in any way. This is a safe and gentle manner of lifting freshly implanted pigment/ink.
Once the skin is wounded we have a short period of time before the epidermal crust is fully formed, until then the area will accept and absorb the Li-FT® solution. It is ideal if the area to be treated is no more than 48 hours old, however, there may still be some success up to 72 hours old. Up to 48 hours will bring the best lightening and lifting results.
